Leading Authentically through Loss
"We were leading a community group at that time, and I tried to keep it together. I finally just realized—I'm leading this community group, but I'm in the same boat. I've got to be authentic and real . . . not just me in my pride thinking, 'Well I'm the leader here and I have to have it all together all the time.' To just say, 'I don't have it all together, I'm still a work in progress that God's doing work on, and I need you all here probably more than you need me.'"
