“The doctor came in, and the very first thing she said is, ‘So, we’re thinking leukemia.’ . . . I was in the hospital for a hundred days. . . . Before, I was a believer, and I knew of God, and I loved God, but I . . . was just scratching the surface on what a relationship with him was like. . . . We think we know what a relationship with Christ is like, and we go along, and it’s kind of comfortable; but no, that’s not what he wants. He wants to blow it out of the water.”
