Am I focused on myself first rather than focusing on the people around me? Haman, the king’s official, was filled with rage when Mordecai would not bow to him. Thinking himself to be important and deserving of Mordecai’s praise, Haman believed this act of disrespect deserved punishment. Haman allowed pride to blind him and made a foolish decision that would have dire consequences.
